Terri-Lynn Kent, RSW studied at the University of Calgary and achieved a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She has over 18 years of clinical experience in health care and Employee and Family Assistance Environments.
Terri-Lynn has a special interest in coaching parents who are raising children with developmental challenges. She aims to support and guide families overwhelmed by the day to day stressors and losses that can be experienced when a child processes and behaves differently than expected. She is dedicated to teaching families practical skills to navigate the confusion and obstacles that are often part of the many systems within the helping communities, schools, government funding agencies, and the Canada Revenue Agency. Terri-Lynn is committed to helping families construct effective care plans, support networks and advocacy strategies to help children reach their best potential.
Terri-Lynn offers families a unique perspective, as she too walks the challenging and rewarding path of raising a child with complex developmental needs. Consequently, she provides a nurturing and accepting environment for families to feel supported and take steps to bring balance and healing into their lives.
